At 11 days old, Aaron Jermaine Ross II is already a superstar. The son of Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross and NFL cornerback Aaron Ross just made his debut in People magazine with an adorable photo spread that includes his mommy gushing over him.
“This is, by far, the most gratifying moment of my life,” The 32-year-old new mother told the mag. “He gives me greater purpose and a reason to smile every day, and I just want to be the best mom to him that I can be!”
Sanya and husband Aaron, 34, first shared they were expecting with an adorable announcement in February of this year.
Not long after, the pro athlete released her memoir, Chasing Grace, and revealed that she’d had an abortion just weeks before the 2008 Olympic games. She wrote that her husband Aaron “believed that our child in 2008 was a blessing we had rejected by always wanting to be in control.”
Nine years later, the couple, who wed in 2010, has been blessed again, and Sanya says motherhood is even better than she could have expected.
“People tell you all the time about the joys of motherhood, but it’s more than I ever anticipated. They instantly change you. Your heart grows and your love knows no bounds.”
