Sources Say Evelyn Lozada Is Keeping Her $1.4 Million Engagement Ring From Carl Crawford
Although Evelyn Lozada and her longtime fiancé Carl Crawford have called it quits, most people are buzzing about the fact that she has no plans on giving back the 14.5 carat diamond engagement ring the former baseball superstar gave her.
Back in 2013, Crawford proposed to the Basketball Wives star with the ring that cost an upwards of $1.4 million. Not to mention, Crawford once signed a $142 million contract, so money was no issue.
Nevertheless, the Lozada and Crawford were supposed to tie the knot nearly a month ago, but she called things off after feeling suspicious of his fidelity.
According to TMZ, Lozada is “legally obligated to give the ring back — since an engagement ring is considered a conditional gift in California, the condition being she has to get married.”
However, the sources close to Lozada told the site that she won’t be giving the ring back. Instead, “she’s planning on keeping the ring in a safe and passing it on to her kids one day.” The source also shared that Lozada believes that Carl won’t take issue to her plans.
