It was only a month ago, almost to the day, that model Jessica White showed up at Beyonce’s PULSE launch party showing off a huge MAUBOUSSIN diamond engagement ring. Now, 40 days later, Page Six is saying the engagement is off.
It took the media a hot minute to find out Jessica’s new boo was British banker Bruce DeWitt when she showed off the piece of jewelry every woman dreams of on the red carpet that night. We knew her romances with Sean Penn and Terrell Owens had long been over, but this relationship was much more hush hush, and even surprising to her friends—until, of course, we saw the massive ring and the twitpic from Jessica which read, “Tell him to put a ring on it! Smiling.”
At the time, friends said the two wanted to get married as soon as possible, but it doesn’t appear that this will be happening at all now that the engagement is off. Surprisingly, no official rumors seem to be circulating about possible causes, but we know the media is not kind to pretty women with multiple “failed” relationships. Some people are already quietly speculating that the Maybelline spokesmodel is another victim of the “Halle Berry factor.”
Poor girl. I hope her camp puts out a comment soon.
