If you really think about it, there are some products the beauty industry has come up with that are downright offensive. Some of them rob us of what makes us women, many imply that we’re never good enough unless we add something unnatural, and many blatantly suggest that a female is only as valuable as the level of desire she provokes in a man. I’m not one to preach everyone stop shaving their armpits (although, skipping the razor burn can be nice) and the beauty industry certainly does a lot of good things for women, providing little ways women can feel like their best selves. But we have to admit that some products take it too far. Here are beauty products that are offensive, if you think about it.

Nipple covers

Nipple covers cover up the life source of the boob—the place where baby’s milk comes from! And leave only the sexualized parts, almost as if to say those are the only important areas. Hey, if men want to gawk at our boobs, then they need to acknowledge that we also give life out of them.
