These days, it’s getting harder and harder to avoid what’s going on with T.I. and Tiny’s marriage. While T.I. has warned people to mind their business, on more than one occasion, his estranged wife is going back and forth with his alleged mistress in the comment section. It’s safe to say we’re in it.

And it seems now, T.I. is feeling a bit more forthcoming about the whole situation. Because when he sat down for his interview with Angie Martinez, he shared his personal opinion on marriage and the current nature of his relationship with Tiny.

“There is no beef. Like, we’re good. We’re straight. Everybody else got the problem. We see each other. We speak. We talk. We spend time together. We’re good. That’s still one of the best friends in the world that I’ve ever had. I can be a better best friend than a husband.”

Angie Martinez interjects at this point to remind him that women tend to hate hearing men say things like this. T.I. laughs.

“It’s just the truth. Ultimately man, I’m on a mission. I’m striving to take my family, its name and our legacy as far and high as it can possibly go. And in my life there will be two different things. There will be people, places and things that help me get there. And there will be people, places and things that distract and deter me from getting there. It seems to me that marriage and what marriage means and what marriage does–it’s just one of those things that’s going to distract and deter me. And that could be selfish, but ultimately, I’m the patriarch of this family. And it’s my responsibility to take us onward and upward. And that’s what I intend to do. I just have a purpose and I don’t always have the time to do the thoughtful, considerate things that a husband should do. Me knowing that about myself–knowing I’m not going to deter myself from my plan. I’m going to move. And whoever move with me, they coming with me. And whoever don’t move, I’ll be back.”

So, uh what about Bernice?

T.I. had something for that too.

“And stop putting me in relationships with people. I’m not in a relationship with nobody. I’m in a relationship with me and my mission.”

Tiny, go ahead and complete that paperwork, girl.
