Eazy E’s Daughter Wants to Portray her Father in Upcoming Biopic

Eric Wright Jr., son of NWA frontman “Eazy E” told TMZ that he was probably going to play his father in the Ice Cube produced biopic, “Straight Outta Compton”. But just before the news could settle in good, E’s daughter, Erin Bria Wright, sent Black Voices a press release. Here’s what she had to say:

I feel the role of my dad in a biopic should “Not” just be a “given” to my brother Lil Eazy solely on the strength that he is my father’s junior! To be honest my father has four sons total who all resemble him in their own way, just as I have an uncanny resemblance to my father and I am a girl. I think my brother should have to audition and earn the role by delivering a great read instead of just being handed the role—and I’d like to add that I feel I should have that same opportunity to audition for the role as well, and be given equal consideration based on my acting ability and not just my relation. I have dreamed of getting this role for many years now, as I have always been inspired by how Hilary Swank played a boy in “Boys Don’t Cry,” which I’ve referenced in a past AllHipHop.com interview in 2007.

Head over to Black Voices to see a video of the former “Sweet Sixteen” star to see what she says she has to offer.

They need to have a real casting call. The worst case scenario would be if they pick his "offspring" just because of the relation and then they murder the part with bad acting. That would be a disservice to the whole movie.

Hi, sweety. My friends told me about
    intimatemingle– č0 /Μ.
She told me it is the best place to meet black and white singles whoever you want. I have tried. It is fantastic. You wanna get laid tonight? Come in and give it a shot, you will find someone you like there. Black or white even interracial one. Have fun! You may find me there! ;)

I remember her too and she was not a nice person at all; I can't get over her attitude in order to even think about what she's saying.

I don't think "Boys Don't Cry" was a good reference. Hillary Swank played a transgender man who was anatomically a woman…but whatevs. I'm not sure about a biopic, but maybe a stroy (about a girl) inspired by her dad's life?

Why not let a man play the role? Maybe she can play her mother.

After seeing lil Eazy E – I say – let his daughter do it! He looks nothing like his dad from the pic I saw – and she does – it would be more believable – except she's a girl – but, so, I say let her play him!

  • della

clearly she DOES think it needs to be a relative to play him! i think they should do a nation wide casting call and then see if she is qualified.
