Taye Diggs Pens Children’s Book “Chocolate Me”

October 7th, 2011 - By Veronica Wells

Whether he’s on the big screen, the small one of a stage we love Taye Diggs as an actor. But now the chocolate-dipped actor, husband and father has penned a children’s book called “Chocolate Me”. The book, which was illustrated by his childhood friend Shane Evans, encourages children to accept differences and embrace them. Check out the video below of Diggs and Evans at a book signing.

You can also catch the interview with Diggs and media personality and radio host, Sway. Sway and Diggs cover everything from “Brown Sugar” to interracial marriage. Pretty entertaining stuff.

Check it out both parts below:

What next is the Old Spice guy who recently dissed sistas on national television saying he wants a woman with "good" hair because his hair is nappy. He added he wants his kids to have "good" hair. Is he going to write a children's book "Happy to be Nappy" and I'm expected to buy it. No thanks. Keep it moving. Even the white female television host was shocked at what that fool said. No wonder Old Spice got rid of him.

I didn't take that as a diss. He is talking about his own inferiority complex. Do not let him put in on you.

If he was really concerned about chocolate him – he would have married a black woman. I'm not interested in his book. Next!!!! Maybe he should write a book about swirl… I'm tired of Black men wanting Black Women to support them and not willing to marry one.

Soooo, who's supposed to by his book?

I hope he ain't checking for the sistas that he's dissed time and time again to buy it.

    Negro, please!

How exactly has he dissed sistas time and time again? by not dating them? Really?

      • Reese

You don't remember the comments he said concerning slim thugs about bw? But why would I buy his book anyway? No matter who he dates.
