Blacks on Broadway

October 4th, 2011 - By Veronica Wells

It’s not everyday you see black faces on Broadway. And it’s even more rare to see black women behind the scenes. But this season on Broadway things are a little bit different. This season three African American women will have their plays debut on Broadway. Check out the lineup for this holiday season and be sure to get your tickets and support.

Thanks for this! I was just saying to my friend I want to go to NY alot this holiday season. The first play I saw was "The Lion King" and I knew the little boy who played Simba and the little girl who played Nala. (She passed away a little while ago. May she rest in peace.)
The play was awesome and I can only imagine how excellent the other plays will be.
