Here’s Every Single Thing Tracee Ellis Ross Used To Get Her Golden Globes Glow Last Night
In the midst of staring at Tracee Ellis Ross’ sparkling gown and glistening jewelry, you may have missed that her skin was glowing on the Golden Globe red carpet as well. Who are we kidding? There’s no way you could have missed the light radiating from the actress, particularly as she walked on stage to receive the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy — the first Black woman to do so since Debbie Allen in 1983. So if you were at home wishing for a complexion as radiant as hers or you just needed to know where she got that red lip, we have the answers. Here is every single thing Tracee Ellis Ross used to get her glowing look last night.
Though Tracee never wears a lot of makeup, her semi-fresh face was particularly intentional last night. As makeup artist Jamie Greenberg shared, “This look was all about beautiful, beautiful skin. She’s wearing a structured, beautiful dress in gorgeous metallic, and lots of rings and diamonds, and I didn’t want to distract from that, but I also didn’t want her face to get lost. Her look is glowing skin with a full brow and a bold lip to finish it.”
Jamie laid the foundation for Tracee’s dewy look with a number of products from Kiehl’s skincare line. The first was Kiehl’s Butterstick Lip Treatment which was followed up with two drops of Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate, which is formulated to keep skin looking radiant all day. The concentrate, plus Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream, which uses Korean Red Ginseng Root to accelerate cell renewal for a vibrant glow, are responsible for the natural illumination of Tracee’s skin.
To keep Tracee’s eyebrows natural, yet bold, Jamie, who is a makeup artist with L’Oreal Paris, lightly combed the brand’s Brow Stylist Frame and Set through the actress’s brows. The pomade is sort of a one and done deal that allows you to fill in brows and keeps them set for 24 hours without needing to use a pencil, powder, and gel to get the look and hold you want.
From the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nude Intense Palette, Jamie blended the taupe-chocolate shimmer shade on Tracee’s lids and dusted the nude color in the corners of her eyes — a great trick for making the eyes appear more open and “awake.” Her top lash line was filled in with the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Sculpt Liquid Eyeliner lashes coated with L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara Primer and L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black.
For even more glow, and to provide a good base for foundation, L’Oreal Paris’ Visible Lift Radiance Booster Primer was dotted on the highs of Tracee’s cheeks and down her nose — the points where the light hits the face naturally. Jamie then applied the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Total Coverage Cover
On the upper part of the cheeks, Jamie used the L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Glow Illuminator in Rose and then on the apples she combined shades from the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paint Blush Palette. To combat shine, the foundation was set in the T-Zone with the True Match Powder.
Lastly, Tracee’s bold red-orange lip is a mixture of L’Oreal Paris’ Infallible Paint Lip in numbers 322 and 324.
