Model Jessica White famously stated that she was holding on to her “goodies” until someone put a ring on it earlier this year. It must have worked because she recently revealed her first engagement at a party honoring Beyonce by flashing her promissory bauble. The man she finally gave it up for (this one last time) was a mystery, but Hello Beautiful reports that his identity has been finally unveiled! Jessica White is set to marry “British-born Wall Street banker Bruce DeWitt,” according to TheYBF.com. Still no picture, but nevertheless, well done, Jessica! White is not the first black woman to forgo flashy figures well-known in the public eye, instead opting for the quiet laid back man with tons of cash. Here are more African-American celebrity females who have chosen subtle men with big bankrolls, instead of eye-catching ballers (who might actually be broke).

      I don't get your post. The link with the actual picture of the fiance supports the title of this article which was basically beautiful black woman marries a low profile high roller. Why are you upset? I think they make a beautiful couple.

    I disagree. Not all powerful women end up with powerful men and some regular women land powerful men. Exude confidence and self worth, work hard to earn your own, and you will attract the same (black or non-black). Also, if you want a dude with a 6 pack, you should probably be in shape (not saying you're not because I don't know you; just making a point).

    I actually remember reading about Jessica White's decision and her reasoning behind it sometime ago and applauding her for being able to self-reflect and do what was best for herself. I specifically commented that if more women followed her path they'd probably see an improvement in their relationships. You have to value yourself before anyone else can value you… It really is that simple. I also like very smart men…so I approve of her upgrade haha

    Paula, if you trully are a Black woman you seem really insecure. Like I said you have to value yourself before others can value you. Everyone has options..even "average" people.

    The funny thing is, is that when these rich men marry Chinese women (Rupert Murdoch, Fcaebook Mark Zukenberg, Shia Lebouf, Harry Sloan, Len Moonves, Setai hotel CEO, Prince Andrew, etc. ) The chinese women are never stunning actresses or models. They are not even accomplished business women like Melody. All they are younger than the current white wife. In Shia Lebouf case, his Asian GF is a no name random bland looking stylist. Yet they wife them up. So…..why are the satkes higher for black women and not asian women? Think of that before you have a party.
