It was just last month that WNBA superstar Candace Parker celebrated one of the biggest moments in her career. Her team, the L.A. Sparks, defeated the Minnesota Lynx to win the WNBA championship. To cap off the victory, she was awarded the 2016 Finals MVP award. With that being said, it’s safe to say that her professional life is in great shape. But in regards to her personal life, things aren’t going as well.

According to TMZ Sports, Parker’s husband, Shelden Williams, has filed for divorce and is seeking spousal support from her. The two were married for seven years after tying the knot back in 2008. What makes this split intriguing is the fact that Williams played in the NBA and reportedly made more than $12 million during his six seasons in the league (from 2012 to 2015 he also played on professional teams in France and China). Williams was also a standout at Duke, becoming the #5 overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. Along with providing support, Williams also wants Parker to pay his attorney’s fees and to have joint custody of their 7-year-old daughter, Lailaa.

As for Parker, she’s said to make “in the low 6-figures” with the Sparks according to TMZ. However, she reportedly made more than $1 million a year playing overseas during the offseason. She played for UMMC Ekaterinburg of the Russian League from 2010 to 2015, and has lucrative endorsement deals, including one with Adidas.

The reason for the split? Williams cites irreconcilable differences. His court documents state that they’ve actually been separated since August and live apart.
