Photographer Hannan Saleh Captures The Beauty Of Black Women’s Street Style In Upcoming Book

November 5, 2016  |

When it comes to street style photographers, Hannan Saleh is one of the most notable.

Arriving on the scene in 2010, she spent her earlier years immersed in the beauty of fashion, painting spreads and collecting inspiration from magazines and the world around her. Now, at the forefront of the conversation in street style coverage, her work that captures many women of color in their naturally stylish habit has been seen many places like Essence.com.

To end 2016 with a bang, Saleh is compiling a number of her photographs featuring “the most inspiring, unique and creative individuals.” Titled Street Culture, the book also tips its hat to “a lifestyle of authenticity.”

With the ever-evolving conversation regarding the lack of diversity in the fashion world, it’s great to see Saleh spread the magic of women of color through fashion.

Still in the production stages with a 30-day Kickstarter to fund the project, the book is set to launch on Nov. 20.
