The creators of Minx have realized that not everyone can fork up $55 to get that tin foil look on their nails that celebs and fashionistas rave about. They’ve teamed up with OPI for a $15 solution — Chic Prints. Chic Prints provides the look and feel of Minx for a fraction of the price and you can do-it-yourself.

There are eight sassy patterns and prints to choose from like anchors, checkers, tiger, fishnet, black & gold geometric and more that add pizzazz to your finger nails.

The nail patch gets a 10 for easy application and can be applied in about 15 minutes. It’s made up of a solid-film material with an adhesive back that is heat activated — i.e. by rubbing your finger across to create friction. Removal is also effortless.

According to packaging, Chic Prints last anywhere from one-two days but in real life it varies. You’re lucky if you get one full day but don’t let that discourage you. Overall, Chic Prints are a great option if you get bored with your nails quickly and/or if you have a special event where you don’t mind the short term wear. They are exclusively sold at Sephora.
