Classic TV Shows Available For You To Binge Watch
No matter how much time has passed since they first aired or came to an end, some television shows will never get old or go out of style. Thankfully, we can binge watch them in the comfort of our homes and watch them over and over again as if they never left us. Well, not every show is available to stream just yet. Some of them – ahem, Living Single past Season 1 – aren’t even available on DVD or Blu-Ray (insert side-eye here). But if the streaming gods are reading this, maybe they’ll answer our prayers. In the meantime, feed your binge-watching addiction with these beloved shows, available for your viewing pleasure on Netflix, Hulu and HBO Go or HBO Now.
A Different World
Get your life by hanging out with Whitley, Dwayne, Kim, Jaleesa, Freddie, Ron and the rest of the Hillman crew. All six seasons of A Different World are available on Netflix.
Sex and the City
We’re still waiting for Girlfriends to get the Netflix treatment, but in the meantime, you can binge-watch the show that inspired its creation, Sex and the City, on HBO Go or HBO Now.
The Wonder Years
Take it back like it’s ’88, which was the year this classic show first aired. Who didn’t love The Wonder Years? Catch up with Kevin and the rest of the Arnold clan as they face big and small challenges in the late ’60s and early ’70s. The show is streaming on Netflix.
Relive the greatness of the classic Rick James skit and the many other fantastic episodes of this short-lived but influential Comedy Central series. It’s currently streaming on Hulu.
Freak and Geeks
Another short-lived classic, Freaks and Geeks followed a group of misfits and nerds as they try to get through adolescence — in a very humorous way. See a super young Seth Rogen and James Franco in the critically-acclaimed series, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
We’ve never seen the city of Baltimore portrayed with such fire, grit and intensity. No wonder fans of The Wire were so dedicated to this series, deemed by many to be one of the best television shows of all time.
You can find the Law & Order franchise playing on TV any time of day or night, but the same can’t be said for The Killing. That’s why you need to stream it! Get your detective fix with this haunting, masterfully-executed show featuring unstoppable detectives Linden and Holder.
If you’re a fan of Orange Is the New Black (or even if you’re not), it behooves you to watch OITNB creator Jenji Kohan’s first series, Weeds. It’s about a widowed suburban pot dealer and mom, played by Mary Louis Parker. At the very least, watch Weeds for Romany Malco who killed it as Conrad Shepard.
Aaron McGruder’s cutting-edge cartoon series about the Freemans, led by wise-beyond-his-years Huey and his rebellious little brother Riley, is always entertaining and available to watch at any time, thanks to Netflix.
