You’re Setting Yourself Up For a Dating Disaster If…

1.  You met him online and got a slight case of the creeps.

He took the time to “like” all 63 of your profile pictures on Facebook and by the second instant message convo he was telling you he missed you.  This might be the beginning of a beautiful romance, but your intuition is telling you it’s more like a fatal attraction.  Meeting online can be even sketchier than a blind date, since technology allows someone the ability to moonlight as a completely fictional person.  Try a group date when first taking your online interest into reality or plan a daytime date in a public place so that you’re not isolated in case your computer love turns crazy.

    Maybe this is the naive 21 year old in me speaking. I will say, that on a first date, I would feel better NOT bringing condoms (yes, I said it) because it will discourage me from having sex. (I have admittingly dealt with the dreadful std at one point, so I get it.) I just would rather have that thing in the back of my mind saying “No, don’t do it! You don’t have condoms.” I figure if I get extremely desperate and realize I really wanna do it, I’ll make a stop at CVS, but even then I’d feel ashamed of myself and go home.

    Disagree with no 3. At my age of 32, I am dating guys who are gentlemen and know to open the door for me. If he doesn't know this, there is no way that I can expect that he "mentors" at-risk young men.

    So you've been feeling this human being for some time now. You smile to each other when you see each other. Jackpot, this human happens to be friend of your friend. Your friend keeps telling each of you how you're into each other, then the friend arranges you on a date.
    Do you guys really believe anything in this list can stop you and this human being from going out on a second date?
    My point is this: If you've been feeling someone for sometime before you actually go on a date, you'll most likely start to write your love story in your head. Then it will be difficult to write the break up over your first date. You'll call your friends to make excuses for your date. However, if you didn't have anything in your head before the first date, the moment your date makes one of the mishaps above you'll definitely move on to the next.
