The Long and Short Of It…

September 7th, 2011 - By Toya Sharee

A signature look is coming harder and harder to come by in the world of entertainment.  More and more celebrities are regularly experimenting with a variety of looks to always keep their fans guessing and anticipating whether their next look will be fierce or a flop.  And thanks to the wonderful world of hair extensions, it’s becoming easier and easier to rock a 14” Bohemian curly afro on Friday and switch up to a silky straight bob with blunt bangs on Monday.  The following ladies have rocked both short and long locks on one occasion or another.  What length do you think looks better on these ladies?

  • What You Say?

That long hair stuff is extremely hard work on a sustah. My new short cut is extremely liberating and has a style all on it's own. Maybe because I know my grows it's not such a big deal to be short.

"In the entertainment world you need to be able to "REINVENT" yourself with "NEW" hair styles and colors"!!! "WORK IT SISTA'S"!!!!

In my opinion they all look better with short hair except for Megan Good. She looks better with a weave. The rest of the ladies rock short hair flawlessly.

I agree Megan looked better with the long do!

Halle will forever be the queen of the short cut! I love that she is considered one of the world's most beautiful women, yet her hair doesn't conform to usual standards of beauty. I'm going to get my hair cut one day when I get the courage.

I think that most of the women featured are beautiful, so it really doesn't matter if they wear their hair long or short. I wore my hair short like Toni Braxtons for about two and a half years, but I love my hair long, so I had to grow it back out. My hair is now past my shoulders again, (yeah)!! I usually wear protective syyles, but on the rare occasions I flat iron, I love the bounce and body, swang!! Lol.

You can do more with long hair, love short cute styles, but your stuck with them until you grow out your hair. I don't do weaves or wigs.

Same here… Cant do the weaves or wigs, tried, their to darn itchy! Lol!!!

Nia, Halle, Jada, Monica, Rihanna, Toni and Meghan all look better w/ short hair IMHO.

I like myself with shorter hair too…I've rocked as short as a caesar to mid-back length (my own hair, no weaves)…but short hair to me is more flirtatious and fun…

I agree, especially Rihanna! Meghan Good, is just out right beautiful!

I totally agree with you. My only issue is with Meghans makeup in the picture shes still pretty though.
