August 13th, 2011 - By Rashana A. Hooks

We are all fabulous and deserve nothing but the best in life right? We are grown women, working or going to school, taking care of our responsibilities and living our life on our own terms right? So why are many of us not living our lives as such? Why are some of us playing it safe out of fear of failure or ridicule, while others try to hide their fabulousness to make some folks feel comfortable?  There is nothing wrong with giving yourself a little bit of credit in life and enjoying the fruits of your labor.

Besides what’s all work with no play. To refresh your memory, I’ve listed a few things you definitely deserve and need to have in your life if you haven’t done so already…

Wow, I can’t believe any person can feel that lowly about themselves that they would remark such a negative comment to someone. Yes, you can feel and be fabulous. We, as black women have the potential to be just as fabulous as any other race does. I know because those are the kinds of people in my life. It’s the negativity and self hate from some of ourselves and others that makes us think that we can’t, because that’s the kind of self have that we often promote within our communities. We have to get out of that state of mind and know that we are better. To the sista who wants her man to adore her, it is possible to have that in your man, maybe the one your with is that man, maybe he isn’t, but there are men out here who not only love their woman, they also adore and would do anything for them. Those are secure and usually God fearing men. Don’t let the negative views of another convince you of anything different.

Another dumb article! What is this "I am oh so fabulous" nonsense all about? We are all just people that don't really deserve anything. So you went to college? Big whoop! No on cares though. Really, we don't.

Black women are always trotting out this faux superiority bs and other "sisters" play right into it.

Look, I am a black women and i love myself but I don't suffer from delusions. this whol diatribe about getting "the best" and wanting "the best" set women up for failure. You are one of a few billion that will live for 70-80 years – that is all. In that time you live the best life you can and try to be of service to the world in some way. That's it.

Fabulous is an adjective that should not be applied to humans. It is so overplayed and misused.

Also, I am tired of these stank attitude black women thinking they are all that and a bag of chips simply because they feel they have to "counteract" this made up "war against black women". Just sit all the way down,
