Chris Brown to Star in ‘Think Like a Man’: Good or Bad Decision?

July 20th, 2011 - By madamenoire

The movie Think Like a Man is shaping up to be this decade’s version of Roots–not in terms of content of course, but in terms of pretty much every working black actor being in it. Taraji P. Henson, Morris Chestnut, Michael Ealy, Terrence J and Kevin Hart are just some of the names attached to this project. It seems just about everyday another person is added to the cast and the most recent one is Chris Brown.

Some folks feel some type of way about about everyone’s favorite dancing man-child being in a movie that’s based on a relationship advice book. As you know, Think Like a Man is based on thrice married Steve Harvey’s best-selling book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.

Check out the Grio to read more about who has an issue with Chris being cast in this movie and what their beef is.

Do you have a problem with Chris Brown being in this movie?

Some of you all's comments are ridiculous! That's what's wrong with people in this world today..they're too damn judgemental! Ok everything that has happened to Chris happened two years ago….GET THE F* OVER IT! I'm pretty sure that there are some of you who have been in or are a part of a domestic violence relationship right now but you're gonna sit back and judge this young man who is trying to move the hell on with his life…GET THE F*OUT OF HERE! RiRi isn't so damn innocent herself…nobody will ever know what happened that night but them..get off the man's nut sack and let him live his freaking life in peace!

  • Irritated

I agree with you! Move the hell on..he has and she has! If everybody can forgive every other celebrity that has done wrong then let Chris live his freaking life without being called "woman beater"..I love Chris' music and I think he has paid his debt to society and doesnt owe anybody a damn thing! Move the f* on already!!

'Blactastic'? What does that mean, and what is wrong with film with all black cast? Do you boycott all white films too? If you let go of your hate towards people you don't know, might be pleasantly surprised.

I enjoy Chris Brown's talent, he entertains me. I believe he deserves a 2nd chance, and wish the media would quit slamming on him for a mistake he made over 2 years ago. He did the crime, and paid his debt to society (served the sentence & penalty) for the consequence of his behaviour.

  • tpe

The black community hates black women. This is why Chris is coddled.

  • Anna

Is it because Chris Brown's teeth are as big as Steve Harvey's?

  • STUDENT

I think surronding him around some hard working folks may just teach his little arrogant behind. I don't condone what he did..but he paid his debt to society. She forgave him, now lets move on. He doesn't get a pass, but what is he suppose to kill himself. For what. He went to court, he was held accountable in the eyes of the law. People wow…

  • lynette

i support chris brown because his talent can not be denied, as breezy said and i repeat, look at him now!!

  • Cici & Coco -The Besties

True…. Steve isnt that nice with his fans & he contradicts himself someone needs to check him. He’s very good at kissing butt. Um as for chris.. Like ive said before.. Chris never beat rihanna.. Um if he did dnt u think he wudve gotten locked up?? He’s black.. Or jayz kanye & all of roc nation wudve beat that a–. No instead chris goes jet skiing.. But u ppl eat everythin the media feeds u. Chris didnt beat her.. Her handlers most likely did.. Dont u see how his career fell & rihannas skyrocketed?? DUH rihanna is a sex slave. Im not interested in movie.. Chris’s actin is eh.. But he’s a cutie.

  • VDW

    Well, that's why it's called acting, I guess. =)

The black community hates girls like Rihanna, pretty, light skinned, wealthy, etc.
And continues to protect and cuddle the male version of the girls they can't stand.

I mean it doesn't really matter in the long run since the black communiy doesn't CREATE global icons, the white community does. As we all know once you have "international" (aka white american) appeal you are set. Chris Brown is going to be stuck in negro appeal zone forever. Might as well milk it.

It's all about money. People have NO values when money is involved. R. Kelly was still selling millions after his accusations
