Maybelline Is Launching Its First Black Lipstick — Would You Rock It?

February 21, 2016  |

Makeup and cosmetics brand Maybelline has been announcing lots of exciting news quite early into the new year.

On the heels of unveiling Tanzanian beauty Herieth Paul as the brand’s newest spokesmodel, they have also revealed that they are adding a statement-making hue to their repertoire.

Black lipstick, anyone? While this look that’s been trending on the runway this season may come off as goth at first glance, celebrities like Rihanna, Beyonce, and Joan Smalls have all proved that the look is actually super chic.

Like most announcement are made in this age, the company took to their Instagram to announce that its not-yet-released Maybelline New York The Loaded Bolds Lip Color would include a color titled “Pitch Black.”

While this new shade won’t hit shelves until June, we’re amped that a quality black lipstick will be readily available to cop at drugstore prices. It honestly doesn’t get any better than this!
