Weave Lessons Learned The Hard Way
6. Take care of your natural hair.
After having micro-braids installed for the first time, I became obsessed with their versatility and how low maintenance they were. Once I learned how to install my own, you better believe that I never gave my natural hair a break and once I removed a set of braids, I’d put some new ones back in. Big mistake. By the time I entered college my hairline was extremely thin and it took months for it to grow back in. It’s important to maintain the health of your own hair while wearing extensions. Give your hair time to rest in between applications, and be sure to keep it washed, conditioned and moisturized.
