She Tried It! Curls Blueberry Bliss Product Line
Knowing that, I was excited to try Curls new Blueberry Bliss line because I was already a fan of the Curls brand, and like a little kid on Christmas, I’m always thirsty to try something new — even if what I already have is working just fine. Nevertheless, the appeal of a new fragrance enticed me and, thankfully, the products did not disappoint.
I’m a wash n’go girl, but for my wash n’go to actually look like I tried and didn’t just wake up like this – in a non-sexy Beyonce way –I have to have an equal combo of water, a silky cream, and a gel-like product of some sort. Initially I tried the Twist N’ Shout cream without actually doing any twisting (or shouting) and the results weren’t to my liking because, as the name suggests, this product is much better for flat twists or twist outs. The consistency is thicker than a leave-in, but thinner than a pudding, and gives good hold for styles that need to be set. On the flip side, the leave-in conditioner was exactly what I needed to bring out my hair’s natural curl without weighing it down. I topped the conditioner with the curl control jelly which, like the conditioner, is lightweight but gives good hold to your curls without leaving them dry and hard. And because I live for slicked down baby hair, once my hair air-dried, I smoothed a bit of the curl control paste on the edges to finish my look and I was good to go. As an FYI, if you have really thick, kinky hair you can also use the paste for bantu knots.
The best part of trying this new line which I was 99% sure I’d love from the get-go was everywhere I went women stopped me to tell me how good I smelled. They didn’t quite have the aroma right, asking me if I was wearing something with pineapples, but it’s always a major bonus when a hair product not only gets you compliments on how your locks look but also how they smell. Win!
