We told you last week that Sonya Miller, estranged wife of Master P and mother of Romeo, had served her son with legal papers, suing him for allegedly hiding his father’s assets from her. This week, she’s accusing Master P of being both verbally and physically abusive during their relationship.
According to TMZ, in court documents, Sonya alleges that at one time in their relationship, Master P hit her in her face and dragged her across the floor. The episode was so bad that she claims she ended up in the hospital. Sonya has brought up this incident to obtain a permanent restraining order against her estranged husband. She was granted a temporary one in October, and there is a hearing today to determine if the permanent injunction will be granted. Through the temporary arrangement, Master P has to stay 100 yards away from the mother of his kids. Children that Sonya is also claiming in court papers he’s “brainwashed.”
She has stated that he’s encouraged their brood, through his money and power, to turn against her.
So what does Master P think of these new allegations against him from Sonya?
“I will pray for my ex,” the rapper told TMZ. “This is a sad day for our family, but we will get past this. After 5 years, all her attorneys can come up with are false accusations.”
He added, “I wish I had Cookie off of the TV show [Empire] … my ex wife is just Cookie Monster.”
That statement is a far cry from what he had to say last summer when he told Wendy Williams that he would always have love for Sonya, his wife of more than 25 years.
“We ain’t been in a relationship in seven years. And I’m not mad at her, I love her. She’s my kids’ mother, and we have to take care of our kids forever. I think what people need to realize is when lawyers come into play, and you know, you got lawyers who don’t know your business, or don’t know where you come from, they play a big effect.”
They sure do.
