Kerry Washington To Produce Nanny Dramedy For ABC
“Scandal” stars Kerry Washington and Katie Lowes, who plays Quinn, are joining forces for a new television series with ABC. However, this time around, the Hollywood beauties will be spending more of their time behind the cameras.
According to Variety, Washington and Lowes are executive producing a dramedy in development by Shondaland that will focus on a clique of young nannies. The series is being described as an “edgy and comical upstairs-downstairs look at the insanity of modern child-rearing.” In addition to the nannies, the plot will focus on “a trio of interconnected families and their various support staffs, all trying to help the kids grow up when they haven’t quite grown up themselves.”
Actress and writer Bess Wohl will pen the script and serve as an executive producer alongside Washington, Lowes, Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Adam Shapiro.
We’re loving how Miss Shonda is allowing Katie and Kerry to get in on some behind-the-camera action.
