Say It Ain’t So Donald
by R. Asmerom
Donald Trump proved that he has more common sense than Sarah Palin and all the other tea party members combined, announcing that he won’t be running for president in the 2012 elections.
It’s somewhat disappointing. The foolishness of Trump would’ve made for great entertainment during the elections. Imagine all the great SNL skits to have potentially come out of it. And no doubt liberals are mad for he provided easy jabs.
Citing that he’s a business man, the Donald confirmed that he wasn’t ready to leave the private sector for politics, although we all know that Trump has bowed out due to the embarrassing criticism. In any case, he’s realized that the boardroom of the Apprentice, where no one gets to question his judgement, is much more conducive to his ego and sense of self-worth.
Of course, Trump couldn’t bow out without making one last insulting remark. In his statement, he said that he was confident that he could’ve beat Obama in the elections. Seriously? If that was the case, wouldn’t you still be in the running? In any case, it’s obvious that Trump is trying to scurry out of this situation with his head held high, but his small and controversial campaign did nothing but generate doubt about his dignity. Sorry Donald, but entering the race was a bad business move.
