Kelly Osbourne Issues Apology After Comments About Latinos
Kelly Osbourne has issued an apology after finding herself in the hot seat for some offensive comments she made about Latinos. As previously reported, the former “Fashion Police” panelist talked herself into a PR nightmare during a guest appearance on “The View.” In a misguided attempt to slam Donald Trump for his bigotry, Osbourne offended the very people she was apparently trying to defend.
“If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?” she questioned.
You can read more about how the awkward exchange unfolded here, but after the taping, Osbourne took to Facebook apologize for her statement and defend the message she was attempting to communicate when she made the blunder.
I want to start by saying I always take responsibility for my actions. In this particular case, I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being racist as I am not. I wholeheartedly f-cked up today. I don’t want to bullsh-t anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped midsentence by Rosie and couldn’t finish my point, I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words.
I should have known better as I was on “The View” and it was live. I’ve learned a very valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole. By the way, I clean my own f-cking toilets.
What are your thoughts on her apology?
