This has been quite the week for celebrity divorces.
Monday, we told you that Anthony Hamilton and his wife, Tarshá Hamilton, have filed for divorce after nearly ten years of marriage. Apparently, there’s something in the water because Kelly Price has also confirmed that she’s divorcing her husband of 23 years, Jeffrey Rolle Sr. The 42-year-old R&B singer announced the split in a statement shared with Always A List. According to Price, the decision was inspired by the April 2014 death of her younger sister.
“After the untimely death of my sister last year, it weighed on me heavily that this was something we needed to do. I ultimately made the decision to live the best life I can. I ended things because I didn’t want to compromise what true happiness was anymore. There are no hard feelings, and I will love Jeff until the day I die!”
Price and Rolle have been together since she was 19 years old, and he has served as her manager for the duration of her musical career. The former couple decided to end their management relationship as well. She intends to sing about the split on her upcoming album, Sing, Pray, Love Vol. 2: Pray.
Price and Rolle share two children, 23-year-old Jeffrey Rolle Jr. and 21-year-old Jonia Rolle.
