If you follow Mommynoire on Instagram, you might have seen that I went to Mount Airy Lodge Casino Resort last week for a few days in the sun (and a little tropical rain as well).
When you hear casino you may not automatically think kid-friendly, but it’s a great place to go as a family. Clean, safe, pretty and just happier than any casino/resort I’ve been to, Mount Airy Lodge was a delight. The resort on a whole was very relaxed and the staff was super friendly and accommodating, just what you want when escaping the hustle and bustle of New York City.
Set against the backdrop of Pennsylvania’s picturesque Pocono Mountains, adults will want to enjoy the ultimate gaming experience with over 1,800 slot machines and 80 table games!
Just above the casino–it was so convenient to have everything in one location–luxury hotel rooms and suites serve every need while guests discover a variety of signature restaurant options, including the recently opened Guy Fieri’s Mt. Pocono Kitchen and Bistecca by Il Mulino. This all-encompassing, full service resort destination for outdoor enthusiasts and gaming enthusiasts alike features an award- winning, lakefront 18-hole golf course; a 16,000 square foot spa, salon and exercise facility; a $5 million, luxury, indoor/outdoor pool and entertainment complex – aptly called Get Wet; an outdoor summer stage that hosts summer concert series; headline entertainment at Gypsies Nightclub and bar; banquet and conference center.
Pro parent tip: If you’re heading there with kids, weekdays are your best bet. Check out the resort calendar–because Sunday’s are the Get Wet parties during the summer–so you might want to book your stay when there are less adult activities happening on the grounds. Also, one staffer who escorted us to our restaurant reservation (my daughter felt like a VIP! house rules: when you visit with a minor, you must be escorted by Mount Airy security while in the casino area) told me that a holiday weekend can mean lines out the door, just to enter the casino!
Going without kids? Dive in and enjoy the casino, golfing, concerts and nightclub!
Being there for a few days, it was easy to see how, for the fourth consecutive year, Mount Airy Casino Resort has been awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Rating. My party was so impressed by the destination which offered picturesque settings, lavish ambiance, exceptional fine dining, luxury accommodations, outdoor activities and unrivalled amenities. We’ll definitely be back!
