With so many societal changes in our communities and schools, it is more important now than ever that we educate our children on the journey of minorities in this country and the leaders that evoked change during the Civil Rights movement.

Educating and sharing with our children the impact that these great leaders had in making sure that minorities were given the same rights as others is very important. As we celebrate this season of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birth and reflect on his accomplishments here are 10 kid-friendly books to read to your child or a classroom on the great man that Dr. King was and the show of leadership that he exhibited to get things changed.
