What?! Coach Fired for Taking Middle School Sports Team to Hooters

Let’s face it; as much as they’re our babies, middle school boys have their minds in the gutter. The hormones are bouncing and they’re just starting to discover dirty jokes. Anybody who works with kids–or was one, or has ever met one–knows this, which is why it makes no sense at all the coach of a middle school football team thought it was a good idea to take the team to Hooters to celebrate. Coach Randy Burbach said, ” I wasn’t taking them there for the sexual overtones the parents are casting on the restaurant.” So what was the point? Was Outback full? Coach Burbach said, “It would be a great experience.” Either way, he was fired.

It’s not that Hooters in and of itself is bad; it’s the fact that boys that age need to be taught that women need to be respected no matter what they’re wearing. But if they’re too busy ogling the waitresses, how can they learn that lesson? Coach got the time out he deserved.
