Woman In England Gives Birth to 15-Pound Baby Naturally
Every mom has her battle stories when it comes to delivery, but we can’t imagine being in the same position as Jade Packer who gave birth to a baby boy weighing 15 pounds, 7 ounces. No c-section for this mother; she delivered her son George vaginally, the BBC reported.
George took his sweet time coming. After being 15 days late, Packer was in labor for 16 hours. She told reporters neither she nor her doctors knew her baby would be so big. George’s shoulders were so wide that he got stuck and stopped breathing for five minutes. He was given a 10 percent chance of survival, but after four weeks in the hospital, he’s home safe and sound with his parents. At six weeks old, the baby is already over two feet long and is wearing clothes made for a six month old. Packer said both she and George’s father Ryan were average-sized babies, leaving doctors still puzzled as to why George was so large. George has been going to the doctor regularly and has gotten a MRI scan that shows his brain is developing normally.
Understandably, Packer says she’s not dying to have more children any time soon.
