Orlando Scandrick Calls Off Engagement To Draya Michele After Less Than A Month
Speaking of weddings, it, unfortunately, appears that “Basketball Wives: LA” star Draya Michele won’t be planning one in the near future. Less than one month after announcing her engagement to on-again, off-again beau Orlando Scandrick, the Dallas Cowboy has called off the wedding.
In a statement to TMZ Sports, the cornerback expressed that asking the reality TV star to be his wife was a mistake.
“In hindsight, it was a poor decision to propose,” he told the sports blog. “I am anxious to move on with my life both personally and professionally.”
This isn’t the first time that the couple has broken up, and it seems likely that they will reconcile just like they always have. However, what makes this breakup a bit different from the others—besides the obvious broken engagement—is the fact that Scandrick is doing the announcing this time. What’s even more interesting is that he sought out a publication to make the disclosure. In the past, Draya has been the one to announce their splits and generally, the news unfolds on social media.
At this point, it seems obvious that Scandrick and Draya are facing some serious issues, and it’s probably better that they work them out now or decide to leave each other alone for good before they become husband and wife. The source of their relationship issues is unclear, but hopefully, if they do decide to get back together again, they will seek out a professional to help them sort through their problems.
Draya has yet to comment on the NFL player’s revelation.
