Beautifully Balanced: How We Manage Our Hair When Working Out
Slow and steady has run the weight loss race for News Writer Jazmine Rogers who’s gradually lost 16 pounds since 2012. While in the maintenance phase of her health journey, she’s also done a great job maintaining healthy natural hair.
Pre workout: “Because I wear my hair straight, I usually wrap it up or put in a ponytail before hitting the gym.”
Post-workout: “I let my hair air dry so I don’t put too much heat on it and then I wrap it up. If it needs a little help in the morning I’ll run a flat iron through it, otherwise I’m usually good because I don’t sweat much in my scalp. A couple of times per week, I apply a little olive oil to my hair to seal in moisture and that’s all I need.
