Mistress Sues Her Ex-Lover/Boss For Work Done–And For Not Leaving His Wife
Theodora Lee Corsell, 67, is suing James Greenwald, 88, for $2 million, reports The Grio. She says she is due the money for six years of unpaid work she did for Greenwald as his assistant. But besides the work, she is also upset because Greenwald did not end his marriage to be with her.
“According to Greenwald, [his wife] Marilee told him, ‘I will see them bury you six feet under before I grant you a divorce. I’m the last Mrs. Greenwald,’ ” Corsell stated in court papers.
“I owe you everything and I will compensate you,” her suit alleges Greenwald told her.
Greenwald was the head of Katz Communications, a major national TV and radio sales advertising company in the 1970s and through the 1990s.
Corsell claims that in addition to being his lover, as his assistant she promoted an unpublished memoir and was threatened by one of his other mistresses. Corsell says the $2 million she’s asked for is the “reasonable value” of her “services.”
According to Greenwald’s attorney, Steven Mintz, his client “remains happily married to his wife” and called the suit a “shameless shakedown.”
