Things Are Getting Blurry! Paula Patton May Testify In Lawsuit Involving Ex Robin Thicke’s Music
The situation between ex-couple Paula Patton and Robin Thicke just got some added drama. It looks like Patton is being summoned to testify in the court battle over whether her estranged hubby stole his hit “Blurred Lines” from a Marvin Gaye tune.
Marvin Gaye III and Thicke have been battling legally for more than a year over “Blurred Lines” as well as a number of other Thicke songs. In 2013, Gaye sued Thicke for damages, including profits from the songs. Now, according to court docs, Patton is listed as a witness for the case, which will most likely head to trial.
“Paula is expected to testify about the 2011 song, ‘Love After War’ … which Gaye thinks copies Marvin’s ‘After the Dance,'” reports TMZ. Patton appeared in the “Love” music video with Thick and also co-wrote the song with her then-husband.
On top of this, Patton and Thicke are still going through a very high-profile divorce.
Once on top of the music world, Thicke fell off after the collapse of their marriage and the failed album he pushed out in an attempt to get her back. Is there any hope for his career?
