If you’ve been watching “Love and Hip Hop New York” this season, you already know that Amina Buddafly had to go through an incredibly tough pregnancy because of her incredibly dysfunctional marriage to Peter Gunz. While she’s out here going to appointments and buying baby furniture by herself (he’s stood her up on more than one occasion), Peter has been filmed meeting up with his ex, Tara Wallace, and their sons. While he pretends he’s spending so much time with Tara for the sake of their sons, he’s actually tried to make a bid for her heart again. Watching Peter behave like this last season was one thing, but once the health of a child is involved…it’s not entertaining. It’s disgusting.
But despite that stress, and doctors claiming that their child was smaller than she should be in terms of development, Amina was able to deliver a healthy baby girl named Cori in July (Peter already has a son named Cory, but this time it’s Cor-i…).
Anywho, Peter shared a picture of her last night after people criticized him for putting so much stress on Amina during her pregnancy, and captioned it with, “Cori Pankey… relax she’s here she’s healthy and happy.” Amina reposted the photo, calling Cori “My EVERYTHING”:
As for Amina and Peter’s relationship, in an interview with VladTV recently, Amina admitted that things are in a “weird place” between them:
“I can not tell you now where we stand as of today, but as people know, things have been crazy and have not been very good for me and him and we are definitely in a weird place. As you can see in the first episode we did move in together and I did give it another shot. I love him. I have to say I didn’t go into it thinking, ‘Oh everything’s good now,’ because people think that I was that stupid. No, I know what I was getting into, but as of right now we’re in a weird place…
A woman can only take so much and people always thought that I’m just gonna let him do whatever to me and take it and I feel like I’ve taken way too much already. At some point you just realize that…it’s not right and it’s not fair. But it always depends on the person. You have to be ready to let something go and whether or not I do you will see on the following episodes.”
Ironically though, her relationship with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his sons, Tara Wallace, is actually on the up-and-up:
“It’s better and I’m so happy about it. As the story progresses on the show you will see how it all happened, but we’re definitely cordial now. We talk to each other. I have her number and it’s step by step. It’s not just, oh we’re friends now. I wouldn’t say that, but it’s going in the right direction and I think she is definitely trying her best to get past that, whatever happened in the past. I appreciate that.”
