“Empire” actress Taraji P. Henson had plenty of jokes when she stopped by the “Wendy Show” today. During her appearance she discussed her uneventful dating life and rumors that she had something romantic going on with her No Good Deed co-star Idris Elba. On her dating life:
“I’m not dating right now. It’s the same old story. It’s hard to date. Guys don’t court anymore. Take me out to dinner. Say you’re going to pick me up at a certain time…”
“I’m not like, ‘Woe is me. I don’t have a man.”
On dating Idris:
“Me? Dating Idris Elba? I ain’t fighting K. Michelle. That was a joke! That was a serious joke No, I don’t date guys that I work with.”
On why she doesn’t date older guys:
“They have issues [down there].”
On rumors that her ex Common is dating Regina King:
“Good for him! That’s a great couple!”
On her first relationship mistake:
“I was just young and dumb. You know, where you’re in love…he was my first sexual experience. I thought we were going to be together forever. I thought we were going to get married. He was my high school sweetheart. I put my name on a lease on an apartment that he was bringing other girls to. I found weave hair all over the apartment and my hair was red at the time.”
