When Anne Hathaway began dating Italian real estate developer Raffaello Follieri back in 2004, she did what any supportive girlfriend would do and became involved in his charity organization. Not only did she donate to the Follieri Foundation but the “Princess Diaries” star also became a member of its board of directors. But when the IRS started doing some digging in 2008, she couldn’t get away fast enough. Authorities confiscated Hathaway’s private journals and she was eventually cleared of any wrongdoings. Follieri ended up in prison after pleading guilty to a real estate scam that involved the Vatican.
