A homeless man was shot and killed by the LAPD on Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles, California last night.

According to LAPD Detective Megham Aguilar and Officer Jame Kim, several had “officers responded to the intersection of Hollywood and Highland around 6:45 p.m. after receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived on scene, officers found a man armed with a knife. When he saw the officers, he approached them and an office- involved shooting occurred,”

The incident took place in one of the most populated tourist attractions in the United States. Several witnesses claim the officers shot the man 10 times in his head and continued to arrest his lifeless body. A witness told KTLA  “I heard like five shots go off and then all of a sudden I saw police run across and they’re pointing a gun at this guy that’s lying on the ground.”
