New Hampshire Embraces Birther Movement, Embarrasses The Rest Of Us

Ok, this has just gone too far. The New Hampshire state legislature has proposed a measure that would require all presidential hopefuls looking to compete in New Hampshire to provide a birth certificate to get on the ballot.

First, the “birther” movement – a group of people who are so devoted to a white America that they will embrace any lie that supports the degradation of the nation’s first black president – was so stupid that it was laughable. Then, certain media outlets began showering them with attention as if they had a valid concern and it became a source of shame for the intelligent people in this country; people’s whose global image was being reflected by desperate racists who could not accept a black man in the White House. Now, laws are being set into motion based on their absurd delusions, and it is a horrifying reminder that “post-racial America” is a joke.

According to Politico, State Rep. David Bates, who chairs the New Hampshire House’s election law committee, told the Associated Press that his panel will hear a bill today that would require candidates to provide a birth certificate and affidavit swearing they are at least 35 years old and have lived in the United States for 14 years.

What do they even need to see a birth certificate for? It wouldn’t do any good. They’ve seen President Obama’s and they still don’t believe he was born in the United States.
If the committee approves the bill, it will go to the full House for a vote.
