I’m a huge fan of Juice, so much so that I actually own the movie on DVD and can quote a lot of it (mostly Tupac Shakur’s more explicit scenes, which I can’t do in full on here…). Director Ernest Dickerson’s feature film debut is one of his most beloved works. So after years of watching and saying “You got the juice now” to myself in the mirror, I wondered, what is the cast looking like now? After doing some digging, I’ve got answers:
Khalil Kain
Juice was actually Kain’s first full-length feature film role, and he definitely was memorable as Raheem, the glue that held the “Wrecking Crew” together. Sadly, in order to have the power and to live recklessly, Bishop had to take our beloved Raheem out. After doing the film, Kain played Nia Long’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, Marvin, in Love Jones, Maya’s husband Darnell in “Girlfriends” (he took over for Flex Alexander) and played good guy-turned rapist Bill in For Colored Girls. His scenes in that film still make me shudder. You can follow Kain on Instagram, and he still looks good!
