Keyshia Cole Won’t Be Prosecuted For Attacking Birdman’s Friend: Report
Last month, Keyshia Cole made headlines after she was arrested for allegedly attacking a woman. According to the victim’s account of the incident, she is simply an employee of Birdman’s Cash Money Records and happened to be at his home that evening discussing business. Sabrina Mercadel, who insists that her relationship with Birdman is strictly platonic, says that they have known one another for over 10 years and is completely clueless as to why Keyshia attacked her.
Although Sabrina says that she sustained some pretty troubling injuries during the attack and was granted a restraining order against the “She” singer, law enforcement sources are saying that Keyshia won’t be prosecuted over the brawl. According to TMZ, prosecutors have decided that instead of making Keyshia go to trial, a hearing will be conducted by someone from the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Both Keyshia and Sabrina will be able to share their sides of the story and Keyshia will reportedly be given a “harsh warning” to keep her hands to herself in the future.
The hearing officer also has the option to require Keyshia to attend anger management classes, which probably wouldn’t hurt. Hopefully Keyshia has learned her lesson; she has a child to think about.
