Ohio Woman Fakes Ebola To Get Sister Quicker Health Treatment
A young woman in Columbus, Ohio has officially pissed off the city’s health authorities. The unnamed young woman placed a call to 911 on Thursday night, claiming her sister may have Ebola to get a quicker response time.
At 8:42 pm on Thursday evening, the young woman stated her sister had a high fever of 107 degrees and needed an ambulance. After being transferred to another line, the woman then stated, she believed her sister had Ebola.
“I’m scared. I think my sister has Ebola. Her fever is 107, and she’s really, really hot,” said the woman to the dispatcher. When the dispatcher asked, “Was the person over in Africa recently in the last 21 days?”, she replied,
“Yes, she was,”.
Authorities arrived to the house with hazmat suits and proceeded with caution. The paramedics realized it was a hoax once they arrived at the hospital. The head of public health confirmed the woman did not have any symptoms that consisted with Ebola nor been to western Africa.
As of right now there have been no charges placed against the woman. The Fire Division battalion chief confirmed the woman simply wanted a quicker response time.
