Just because Columbus Short wasn’t on our television screens last night, doesn’t mean he’s bowed out of the game. Instead, he stars in a recently released short film. The End Again, which was released online and shown recently at the Urbanwold Film Festival, details the ending of a long term relationship.

But the kicker is that Columbus is the male lead and his estranged wife Tanee McCall-Short is the female lead. Talk about art imitating life.

Anyway, the couple, Jane Salmon (McCall-Short) and Joe Maxwell (Short) have been together for five years; and after several attempts to reconcile, the couple realizes it’s time for them to go their separate ways. Their story of pride, poor communication and “heart guarding” features music from the group Foreign Exchange–who are pretty dope.

Shot in two days and directed by Crystle C. Roberson, The End Again will serve as the prequel to a feature length film Openended. You can learn more about the full length feature here.

In the meantime, watch the beautifully shot 15 minute film, in its entirety, in the video below.

If you get a chance to watch the film, tell us what you think.

Were you feeling the music in the film, you can listen to more from Foreign Exchange, here and here.
