Why does it seem like after every award show two random female artists get into it on Social Media? Oh because that is what always happens, and last night’s VMAs were no exception. Lil Kim And K. Michelle are currently beefing because, to put it simply, Kim got in her feelings for absolutely no reason when K. shouted out Nicki Minaj as the queen of rap and subsequently told Kim’s fans who came for her to eff themselves. It’s a rare occasion that we can say K. Michelle took the high road, but in this instance she most definitely did (minus that whole drink a cup of bleach comment). Why does bigging up Nicki Minaj who, factually, is the only Black female rapper doing anything substantial today, have to equate shading a top Black female rapper of yesteryear? And if Kim wanted to jump in and say anything she should’ve told her fans to chill and stop drumming up unnecessary drama — though I’m inclined to think she should’ve stayed off Twitter to begin with and focus on bonding with her newborn baby instead of Tweefing.
