Preachers Of LA On Ferguson: “What Just Happened To Mike Brown Ain’t Happening To Ron Gibson”

August 22, 2014  |

Oxygen’s “Preachers of LA” are known to ruffle quite a few feathers and we have a feeling this latest interview with the men of the cloth will be no different. Given the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, and the fact that the nation often turns to spiritual leaders in times like these, when Bishop Ron Gibson and Pastor Wayne Chaney stopped by the office, we asked them their opinion on the situation. Bishop Gibson, who regularly carries a gun, nearly incriminated himself when he proclaimed “What just happened to Mike Brown ain’t happening to Ron Gibson” and then trailed off as he started to say what he would do if the police tried to shoot him.

Pastor Chaney helped  Bishop Gibson out a bit when he not only stopped him from saying something he might regret, but explained the frustrations of the demonstrators in Ferguson, pointing out that after protest there needs to be progress. Check out the full interview with the preachers in the video above. What to you think?

Really? This guy still has a gang banger mentality. He admitted to once being a gang member which I am sure was many years ago, but some where in the back of his mind, he still has it. How does he figure that if a cop pulls out a gun that he is going to do something about it? The only thing that would happen is he would get shot regardless, because he pulled out a gun! Pastor Chaney tried to clear it up but on their first episode for the new season, Pastor J went home to his wife and stated that this Man put a gun on the table during their meeting.(edited for t.v.), I mean who does that!! especially a supposed Man of cloth? This is what he says in a interview about something serious like the shooting in Ferguson. Shameful.

Imagine my confusion as a white person thinking there was going to be some real news in this site but instead wandered into a black antiwhite site.

Slightly unrelated, I wonder if a cop shooting (shooting of a cop) has ever been ruled “justified”…prob not.

The only case I know of a black person shooting a cop and beat the case was The Bronx, NY’s Larry Davis and he shot 8 cops. His life story would make a great action movie.

      • Toni Jones

YEAH I forgot about Larry Davis, That would be a life history movie about Cop Corruption, which was so evident back then and now. Philadelphia has a case now about six corrupt cops stealing and beating up drug dealers for their stash and drugs.

        • who

Nothing new under the sun, back in the 80s cops killed drug dealers on the regular and no one was the wiser…they did it for sport…took the money and the drugs and figured one less criminal on the streets…i grew up in l.a. im sure this was everywhere…

Really?? WOW I have never heard of that case, but I’m about to look it up right now!!
