Maybe it’s a Philly thing, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Amber Rose. I feel like she kind of balanced Kanye’s crazy.
Well, they may have both moved on, but apparently Kanye makes a habit out of including his love interests in his music videos. In his 808s and Heartbreaks days, you may remember Kanye mentioning that his bald-headed best girlfriend at the time would star in his Robocop video. The video never surfaced after things got messy with the pair and they abruptly broke up.
The video directed by Hype Williams features a robotic Rose and a don and dapper West in a tuxedo.
An interview at the time revealed why West completely scrapped the video. According to a man claiming to be Amber’s former publicist, infidelity was the culprit:
“The ‘Robocop’ video never got released because of Amber’s infidelity. It was put on hold and never released after Kanye caught Amber cheating. Kanye to this day thanked me for my honesty.”
But Amber Rose stated you could miss her with that unfaithful mumbo jumbo and claims Kanye was the one cheating at the time with none other than his future wife, Kim K.:
“Kanye and Kim were both cheating on me and Reggie with each other. She was sending pictures, and I was like, ‘Kim, just stop. Don’t be that person. I thought at least she’d be woman enough to respond to me. She never responded.
“It’s very important that us women stick together and we don’t f**k each other over like that.”
Want to know the funniest part? Kanye allegedly wrote “Robocop” about his ex-girlfriend, Alexis Phifer.
Either way, Robocop features the West I know, love and prefer over that ode to America’s great outdoors and Kim K’s cleavage he called “Bound 2”.
Check out a clip recently leaked by Shihan Barbee, one of the video’s animators who captioned it with:
