Nene Leakes: ‘I Can’t Represent All the Black Women in the World’

March 7th, 2011 - By Demetria Irwin

Are you one of those people that bemoans the existence of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” because it makes black women look bad? Well, Nene Leakes has a word or two for you. In an interview with AOL Black Voices, RHOA’s most recognizable castmember says “I can’t represent all black women. I can only represent for Nene Leakes.” *snap*

Check out what else Nene had to say about RHOA and the rumor that her “Celebrity Apprentice” castmate Star Jones put out a restraining order on her.

Do you think RHOA and other shows like it portray black women in a negative light?

This is for reality show stars in general: why do they put all their "business" out there, the good and the bad sides and then act surprised when the public judges them? If they have a certain image to uphold, then they should work with the producers, editors and staff on getting that image out in the public eye. You and your agent can only control the product you present!
