#CrownMe: Keke Palmer Becomes First Black Cinderella On Broadway
Keke Palmer is winning y’all!
A few weeks ago Keke stopped by our office to speak about her hit BET talk show, Just Keke!, which made her the youngest person in the nation to host a talk show. Then last week we reported that the gorgeous 20 year old will be guest starring on Showtime’s hit series Masters Of Sex, and now the Illinois native is ready to dominate yet another arena.
Today Broadway Buzz reported Keke will join the cast of New York City’s Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Broadway, becoming the first African American Cinderella on Broadway! Keke announced the news to her fans on Instagram and Twitter with the following caption:
UNDERSTAND ME WHEN I SAY THIS: You can do anything you want to do! Your life is your life & your belief in YOU will make it all it can be! Don’t stop at anything, spread LOVE & allow God to guide you, bless you all! Let your light shine my angels!
In an interview with Vanity Fair Keke shared she will be celebrating her 21st birthday while she rehearses for her princess role on Broadway. She also told the magazine she has plans for more domination by way of becoming an author. Keke revealed:
“I don’t know how exactly I would do that but I have so many experiences I would like to share. I’ve been keeping journals since I was 13. I have about five of them now. And I’d love to somehow incorporate those journal entries in the book.”
The beloved child actress-turned-triple threat also added she would love to produce romantic comedies or action films. With her work ethic, we are sure Keke will accomplish those dreams sooner, than later.
