Conservative former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is a staunch believer that marriage should only be between a man and a woman but he is also a believer in divorce. Married three times, he blamed his infidelity in his second marriage on patriotism. “There’s no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate,” Gingrich said.
