Truth be told, every last one of us is a hypocrite in one way or another. And if we’re honest we’ll admit that we’re hypocrites in quite a few ways actually. But thankfully, regular people like you and me don’t have to worry about our business selling papers and generating clicks. Our mess is limited to a small number of people. Unfortunately, celebrities live a different life and sometimes we, the public, have been privy to some messy ish. And it only makes it worse when you’ve positioned yourself as someone who’s conscious or spiritually inclined and then you do something that has everyone giving you the side eye. Find out who I’m talking about on the following pages.

Nobody is perfect. Read the bible. Abraham was unbelieving. Jacob was a liar. David disobedient, murderer, adulterer. The list goes on and on and in the end they’re called Saints.

But yall choose to judge some harshly like Beyonce, Nicki and most of all Rihanna but make dumb excuses for the Badu’s and Hill’s .

Badu and Hill are real artists with real talent that delights crowds around the world. They may be serial baby mamas, but they don’t have to bare skin and crotches every chance they get to capture our collective attentions. Their music speaks for them.

Their mastery commands respect, what they do wrong, they do it privately and that’s just what it is. Private matters, and none of ours.

You forgot about DMX!!! He is the poster child of backpeddling! Remember “Lord Give me a Sign?”

    • Christophe Tam

X had a song about God in all his albums, “lord give me a sign” wasn’t the first. He also has a list of “The Prayer” skits in his albums. DMX himself said He’s not perfect. We’re all walking contradictions.

Never said that was the first song about God- it was a single which is why I brought it up. You’re right – no one is perfect; however, bring a crackhead and fathering multiple children outside of your marriage, leaving your wife who has been by your side from day one, impersonating a federal agent at an airport, while having a song dedicated to God on your every album that is laced with profanity is quite the about face. Point. Blank. Period.
